Grundtvig Workshops. From 21st to 30th June 2010 the Association “Rybnik-Europe” held workshops called “Proud of our Heritage” with financial support of the Programme “Uczenie się przez całe Życie”. The programme of this educational project included learning Polish, recognition of Silesian culture and customs through educational trips.

In workshops took part 18 people from 9 countries of EU i.a: citizens from Twin towns, Dorsten, France, Northern Ireland, Spain, Lithuania, Latvia, Romania, Turkey, Holland.

Vice President Mrs. Kryszczyszyn welcomed guests in the City Hall. They visited Museum in Rybnik, music school and participated in a concert in the theatre. They also visited The Guido Mine in Zabrze, Brewery in Tychy, The Castle Museum in Pszczyna, residence of Śląsk Song and Dance Ensemble in Koszęcin and danced to the rhythms of highlanders band in Silesian Beskids.

Workshops were an amazing experience of European integration for members of our Association. We took part in preparations by assisting our guests during tandem workshops, educational trips and parties. For the first time we heard about tandem method of learning languages so our members participated in courses to be able to help our guests with learning Polish.
